One thing that hasn't been going on much during the last week is reading, I'm sorry to say. I had thought that my 4-day birthday weekend would afford me a nice amount of time for both reading and writing, but I got in sadly little of either. Combine that with an extra-busy time at work, and complicate that with shortened work days due to my physical-therapy appointments (now down to two times a week instead of three, because I am officially Making Good Progress), and it's just tough to keep up!
I did finish The Uncoupling for my TLC Book Tours date this week, though, and I'm starting What Good Is God?: In Search of a Faith That Matters for April's Faith 'n' Fiction Roundtable just in time to come in late on the discussion that opens tomorrow. I may two-time that The Wilder Life: My Adventures in the Lost World of Little House on the Prairie, since I have that in an ARC and it releases this month. And I'd really like to get in some discretionary reading at some point, too - in short, I really NEED a 24-Hour Readathon! (Good thing it's just a few days away...)
I hope your spring reading is starting off on a better foot than mine is!

I haven't been able to keep up with the book-blog community too well this week either, but as promised, here's some more "Stuff That's Going On:"

Have you heard about the BlogHer Book Club? It's just been announced by your host, Karen a/k/a Sassymonkey:
"BlogHer's thrilled to be collaborating with Penguin Group USA to bring blogger reviews of great upcoming books, author interviews, book discussions and much more to our new BlogHer Book Club space. What's exciting about this partnership: BlogHer is paying writers to write balanced, editorial reviews of the BlogHer Book Club featured titles. Here's how it works: Every month, we'll be featuring two Penguin titles that we think will be of interest to you, our community. I will work with Penguin to determine the book review calendar -- the rest is up to us.
I will recruit reviewers from our list of excellent writers. For more on how to become a BlogHer Book Club reviewer, please check out our About the Book Club page. Each reviewer will receive a copy of the book and be paid to write and publish her editorial opinion of the book here for community discussion. We're excited about the diversity of opinions and perspectives we can bring to Penguin's list -- and we'll keep talking about other publisher titles, of course, in our ongoing BlogHer Book Chat group."I've really wanted to see more book bloggers get involved in BlogHer, and maybe this will do the trick...and did you notice the "paid to write and publish her editorial opinion" part?
If you know about some other Stuff That's Going On with book bloggers, or you have better reading-related news to report than I do, please tell us all about it in the comments!
